Description


Vermiculite Board VB650 is a high-performance, ceramic-enhanced insulation material known for its excellent thermal stability at elevated temperatures. Commonly referred to as a vermiculite insulation board or ceramic vermiculite thermal barrier board, it is manufactured using a composite formulation of ceramic powders and reinforcing fibers, sintered at high temperatures.

This advanced composition provides superior mechanical strength at both ambient and high temperatures, along with outstanding dimensional stability under thermal stress. It is particularly well-suited for demanding environments with significant temperature fluctuations and high mechanical loads, making it a critical insulation material for the bottom lining of aluminum electrolytic cells.

Standard dimensions are 400 × 300 mm, with a thickness of 65 mm (custom sizes available). The density ranges from 650 to 800 kg/m³.

 

Key Product Features:

Class A Non-Combustible Fire Rating: Meets national Class A fire performance standards, with a melting point of 1370–1400°C and a maximum service temperature of up to 1200°C. It does not melt or release harmful gases under high-temperature conditions.

Ultra-Low Thermal Conductivity: Its unique layered, porous structure provides outstanding insulation performance, effectively minimizing heat loss.

Environmentally Friendly: Made from 100% inorganic materials, free of asbestos, formaldehyde, and other harmful substances. It releases zero toxic gases at high temperatures and complies with global green building standards.

Excellent Machinability: հեշտ to cut, saw, nail, drill, and plane, allowing for easy on-site processing and installation, significantly reducing construction difficulty and cost.

Technical Advantages:

Through industry–academia–research collaboration with Zhengzhou University and Luoyang Institute of Science and Technology, we continuously refine our vermiculite formulations and manufacturing processes. Research associated with Chinese Academy of Sciences shows that, through the use of specialized inorganic fillers and process optimization, vermiculite insulation boards can achieve a compressive strength of up to 5.5 MPa and a water absorption rate as low as 4.6%—significantly outperforming conventional products.

Our ceramic-enhanced vermiculite insulation boards utilize multi-level particle gradation and composite reinforcement technologies. This approach maintains excellent thermal insulation performance while substantially improving mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
