Fujian Yong'an Jianfu Cement Energy saving and Consumption reducing System Renovation Application instructions for nano insulation board

Fujian Yong'an Jianfu Cement Co., Ltd.'s 5000t/d cement clinker production line was constructed and put into operation in 2012. Currently, the average daily clinker output of this line is about 5500t/d, with standard coal consumption around 107kg per ton of clinker. In response to the national requirements for green manufacturing, energy conservation and emission reduction, the group launched an energy-saving and consumption-reduction systematic renovation for the production line in 2022. The renovation covers the design optimization of the preheater system and revamp of key main equipment including the grate cooler. The renovation scheme was developed and implemented by Tianjin Cement Industry Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. Nano thermal insulation materials were applied to the sections at and below the 4th-stage cyclone to reduce system heat loss.
This paper mainly focuses on the calciner, and elaborates on the application scheme, construction process and actual performance of nano insulation boards. The original volume of the calciner was approximately 2500 m³. Considering the demands for production capacity expansion, denitrification (which occupies part of the furnace volume) and the long-term adoption of Fujian anthracite, the renovation plan was proposed to expand the calciner volume to around 3200m³.
1. Performance Comparison Between Nano Thermal Insulation Materials and Traditional Insulation Materials
Nano thermal insulation material is mainly made of nano-scale SiO₂, blended with special functional additives such as infrared radiation resistant materials, and manufactured via patented dry pressing technology. Compared with traditional micro-scale insulation materials like ceramic fiber and microporous calcium silicate board, the pore size of nano insulation materials
ranges from 20 to 70 nanometers, and it maintains an extremely low thermal conductivity even under high temperature conditions.

2. Application Scheme of Thermal Insulation Materials
The original thermal insulation of the calciner adopted 115mm thick calcium silicate board. For the expanded straight cylinder section of the calciner in this renovation, a composite structure of 50mm calcium silicate board plus 62mm SH400 nano insulation board is applied.

3. Field Measurement of Actual Application Effect
Half a year after the renovated production line was put into operation, thermal imager tests show that the shell temperature of unrenovated sections is about 105~115℃, while that of renovated sections is around 40~50℃, with a temperature drop of over 60℃. Relevant thermal imaging pictures are shown as follows.
